Experience in the recording studio re-ignited his love of composing and recording and Mark Cella took a sabbatical from the theatre in 2000 and began to record his own songs and producing several bands in the Chicago area including 13 Nightmares and Brain. Mark Cella's success with Brain led to other offers from other up and comers and Mark decided to make his move into the music industry in with the 2004 launch of his imprint, Ivar Records and scored right off the bat with Bazooka Girls hit "Make Me". Cross collaborations with members of Limp Biscuit and Travis Barker of Blink 182 on 2006' Mark Cella produced "Ivar Explosion" proved to be a internet sensation getting over 100,000 downloads online. While he has no plans to scrap Ivar Records, he has been in talks to bring a death metal musical to Broadway in 2009 or 2010.
It has also been rumored that Mark Cella will release a record and go on the road in the summer of 09' as opening act on Brain's North American tour.
